The former Cibo Matto singer, New York based Miho Hatori, released last month her solo debut CD with ECDYSIS. After leaving the Cibo Mato project, Miho collaborated with several music artists, The Beastie Boys and Damon Albarn’s super group, Gorillaz, among others. ECDYSIS is a mix of electronic, pop, word music and jazz- orientated a good fusion of Japanese & US culture. Influenced by avant-garde singer and musician, Bjork. Hatori sings in her debut album mainly about the changing environment and the pollution of our planet (the track “Walking City” is a great example). And also give us a small cameo in her native language when she sings the track “A Song for Kids” in Japanese.
